They were excellent. The house was nice and tidy when we got home, the animals were all happy and well looked after. They communicated well with us when they had questions while we were away. Highly reccomend them.
I don't think I can find enough good words to describe Kay and Andy's house-sit for us, dog Billy and cat Bella. Re the house: everything was super tidy and clean and they helped us deal with a couple of little annoying house issues (leaky dishwasher...not their fault!) But mostly, they were amazing in their care of our one year old spoodle, who has a few behaviour issues (he is a teenager) that I think had become more pronounced even after I placed the ad. Kay and Andy were amazing communicators, lots of photos and texts. I think that Kay's very empathetic nature was just what we needed for Billy, and she has really helped us in our management of him. If we could persuade them to come back and live here we would! Many many thanks and best wishes for your future, Kay and Andy.

We were so lucky to find such a great and trustworthy house sitter in Aaron. Not only did he take great care of our cats and the house, he stayed an extra night when I ended up in hospital when we were away, which was amazing and took so much stress off of us!! He sent updates everyday which I loved and the house was nice and tidy when we got home. I would 100% get him to house sit for us again!!
Donna is the most caring, responsible and communicative house and pet sitter. My home was immaculate when I arrived home, and my elderly cat Nellie was happy and content. Donna applied her daily meds and made sure she was well fed and comfortable. Huge appreciation and thanks to Donna, I highly recommend her!
Annette and Martyn looked after my house and cat for 3 weeks. I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. Annette sent reassuring photos of Kitty relaxing by the heater which meant we weren’t anxious about how he was coping. The house was beautifully clean and tidy when we arrived back, including a sheet change. You’d be lucky to have them look after your house and pets in the future. Thanks again Annette and Martyn.
We were very lucky to have Margie & Ross look after our home and our cat Tippy whilst overseas for six weeks. We received great communication both before and during their stay including much appreciated photos and updates on Tippy. They took such wonderful care of our home and it was so lovely & thoughtful to come home to a clean house, freshly mown lawns, milk in the fridge & a made-up bed! Would highly recommend Margie & Ross.
Julie house sat and looked after my cat for about 10 days, late September, early October 2025. We met twice before she commenced the sit so that I could pass on information regarding the house and cat. Julie is a good communicator, keeping me informed while I was away and sending photos. The house was clean and tidy on my return and the cat had befriended Julie in my absence.
Before I start this review, I highly recommend Trevor and Anji as House/Dog Sitters. I would welcome them back anytime, not just to housesit but I feel like they are a part of the family now and I know the dogs would love to see them again! I hope they have enjoyed staying here and taking care of my two dogs. I know the dogs loved being with them too. I had some peace of mind while I was away, knowing that my dogs were well looked after like they were their own. This was a long House/dog sit from May 15th to 24th September 2025. Trevor and Anji kept in good constant contact with me via WhatsApp, sharing updates and photos with me. I was able to help them with any issues etc fairly quickly, let them know of my travel and estimated time I would be returning to the house, so they knew exactly when to expect me. I returned to a joyous welcome and a good sniff over from my dogs once I got to my house. I could see the respect and loyalty they had to Trevor and Anji as they returned to their side while keeping any eye on me. My dogs stood between us a little confused about who their loyalties belonged to, which I don't mind at all as it just shows how much the dogs trusted and loved Trevor and Anji. Trevor and Anji took me for a walk through of my house and gardens, which were immaculate and I swear the place looked cleaner than how I left it! Trevor had trimmed up some of my hedges, which I am very grateful for and Anji had done some gardening. My spring bulbs look amazing, the best I've ever seen them in! I did not expect them to do any of this extra work, only said if you are bored or if you like to do gardening. Anji took great care of my indoor plants, even nursing a couple of ones I had killed back to life. Trevor took care of my lawn area, which was nicely mowed and tidy, and also stacked the remaining wood into the shed that was sitting out in the paddock. I was greeted with a warm fire and full woodbox and kindling to keep me going for a few days, which was much appreciated while I acclimatize back to NZ weather. Even though it was the most beautiful and sunny day when I got home, I sure did enjoy the warmth from the fire as the sun disappeared. I also found the sneaky box of chocolates they had left behind, lol, thank you so much!
Joshua came to house it our cat, dog and plants while we were away for 10 days to Australia. He did a great job, sent updates on the animals and left the place nice and tidy. This was our first house sitting experience and we are so glad everything went smoothly. Will definitely get him back for future trips!
Saskia was an excellent house and dog sitter. She didn't hesitate to contact us if she had any questions or concerns, and was quick to respond to us when we messaged her from overseas. Saskia was great with our miniature poodle Charlie and he was very happy and healthy when we got home. The house was clean and tidy too. We would highly recommend Saskia.
Saskia house sat for me during July/August 2025. This included looking after my elderly cat. She is a good communicator and kept me informed on a regular basis on any relevant house matters such as tradesman carrying out work I had arranged before going away and updates on the cat. I found her to be very honest, including letting me know of a broken tea cup while she was in the house - something that I would not have noticed on my return. The house was left clean and tidy for my return.
A comfortable spacious home on a quiet lifestyle block. The pets are gorgeous and enhanced our time there. We would happily go back again.
It was a pleasure to look after Billy and Bella. They are both delightful and it was hard to leave them. We enjoyed meeting Helen and David who made us feel at home and were very easy to communicate with. The house is very comfortable and in a lovely area, very accessible to the Westmere shops, the sea the park and the city.
I absolutely loved house and pet sit for Nicole and Aaron! Their 3 fur babies were absolutely lovely and easy to look after. The house keeping is super straight forward, easy to get to, easy parking space, absolutely flawless. The main positive thing is that they are lovely owners, and the communication was always spot on, which makes the experience 100% better. I would love to house and pet sit for them again in the future!
We were very grateful for the opportunity Heather and Don gave us to house sit their lovely clean, sunny home and beautiful cat Tippy for six weeks. Their home is well situated in Greenmeadows, which is centrally located between Napier and Hastings and within walking distance to the iconic Mission Estate winery and Church Road winery. Some great running/walking tracks are located close by to accommodate the fitness enthusiast. We could not fault the great communication with heather and Don, even while they were in Europe. We would 100% recommend Heather and Don!
Thank you, Bill & Leslie for the opportunity & for choosing me to look after your dog Dexter and live in your house for the week while you were away. You have a neat little house situated in the country surrounded by bush and farmland. I enjoyed walking Dexter every morning @ 6.30am especially being out in the county, fresh air & listening to the Tui's on our morning walks. Dexter kept me company sitting at my feet while I worked during the day. I had beautiful views each day looking out the window at the rangers and country scenery. Dexter was a good company & followed me around everywhere I went. I would definitely come back again to look after Dexter if you went away again.
I highly recommend! Charlie is a lovely, sweet, cuddly dog. He has a few quirks (what dog doesn’t, right!) and Phillipa and Andrew set Charlie and I up for success by briefing me well on what they were and how to manage them. They have a lovely, warm, comfy house. Great communication from them - both before and during their travels. I would definitely house sit for these lovely folks again!

It was an excellent house sit for Justine & Dave, thank you for having me. The dogs, Tilly & Sisu were a delight. They were fun and great company. Tilly loved playing catch and Sisu loved chasing after Tilly. The home was lovely and communication was good before and during the house sit. I would recommend and house sit again.
Perfect house sit situation. The house was warm modern and warm. Lovly outlook onto neighbouring orchards . All day sun. The fur babies were adorable. They were very well behaved and I became so fond of them. I certainly reccomend this property as an exce0ptional sit.
We house sorted for Meg and Rochelle for one month, they are really lovely people with a beautiful, cosy house and a friendly cat. All of the instructions were clear and they kept in contact if we had any questions. I would highly recommend house sitting for them if you have the opportunity!
Loved, loved, loved staying semi-rural! And of course looking after dear Lily. She has such a big personality and not afraid to try her luck for treats every time someone goes anywhere near the kitchen. For a 16yr old dog she still has plenty of energy. Mary and Vic were wonderful and we really enjoyed the chats about travel and family, felt like longtime friends.. Thank you for trusting us to look after Lily, the sheep and your home. Loved being here, such a beautiful, cozy home felt very comfortable, and to hang out with Millie girl was great. Such a lovely family.
We loved this housesit, 3 farm dogs and 2 cats. The dogs were great, well behaved and always came when called. Was quite a walk over to the dogs from the house but in adverse weather, of which there was a lot, we took the Canam over. Every day we took a carrot over for the horse. The cats Woody and Ollie were beautiful and I'm going to miss them. Took a long time to build Ollie's trust but in the end we did. They bought us constant gifts of mice which although thoughtful wasn't really appreciated by the humans. Would we di this sit again? Probably not, it really was to far away from everyone we know but would perhaps suit a backpacker.
