It’s time to explore NZ again after raising 3 children and having recently said goodbye to my gorgeous 18yo cat. I’m a Canterbury homeowner who loves walking, cycling and travelling to new places. I have had dogs in the past and have lived on a lifestyle block with livestock. Native bush and beaches are paradise to me and I tend to avoid cities. I’m interested in staying relatively close to home for short periods to start with, and see where this leads over time. My only requirement would be good internet for working remotely.

Bernadette housesat over a period of two weeks whilst we were overseas. This was Bernadette’s first housesit so always a bit daunting when you housesit for the first time, but handover notes helped and relieved the pressure of having to remember everything!!

As so often happens, just as we were leaving our dog needed a trip to the vet which resulted in medication and a bandaged foot. Bernadette took this in her stride and administered the medication daily and removed the bandage from our dog’s foot at the required time without any problems.
We arrived home to a beautifully clean, tidy home. Our three cats and dog were relaxed, very chilled out and had clearly been very well loved and cared for.
Bernadette communicated well with us throughout including sending a photo of our pets.
We highly recommend Bernadette to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, clean and tidy person who has a calm and gentle manner around animals. We would certainly book Bernadette again.
