  We really enjoyed our time in Pirongia housesitting for Toni & Paul, they really made us feel welcome from our first meeting to our arrival the day before the housesit. Their house is a beautiful country home nestled on acreage close to shops in the town or nearby Te Awamutu. Looking after Puss Puss the cat, Ginny the farm dog & sheeps was a real treat & sitting by a cosy fireplace with garden surrounds was magic. It was lovely to gather citrus, apples & vege’s from the garden & whip up a storm in their amazing country kitchen. We got to have a bit of a play in the garden, planting plants & trimming trees. Megs had the use of their office for her work overlooking the garden & birdlife, we put out a bit of honey water during these colder days to supplement food for the Tui’s & wax-eyes, so wonderful to see them coming into feed. We highly recommend housesitting for Toni & Paul, snap it up housesitters if you get the chance & thank you Toni & Paul for choosing us to look after your beautiful home. Mick & Megs
