Description
We are looking for a house and pet sitter for our cat Whiskers.
We are ideally looking for either a single person, or a couple without young children (Whiskers can be timid and isn’t used to a lot of noise in the house!).
We are located in Pinehaven, Upper Hutt. The house has 3 bedrooms – we currently use one as a home office.
The area of Pinehaven is super cute, with a lovely cafe, park and public library just a 2 minute walk from our place. We are just around the corner from Silverstream (a 1 minute drive or 10 minute walk), which has a New World, Unichem pharmacy, Silver Spoon restaurant, a great bakery and several good coffee and takeaway options including an excellent Indian restaurant and the Dough Bakery cafe cart for great coffee, pies, donuts and cheese scones!
The Silverstream train station is a 10 minute walk away and there is also bus stop just down the road. Access to the motorway both North and south is excellent, and there is very easy access to the Hutt River trails also.
We have off-street parking which would have room for a campervan, and also there is free street parking. We have a sunny front and back garden which may need occasional watering in hot weather (but we do have a sprinkler system set up). We grow veggies and hope you will help yourself to whatever is in the garden! We are surrounded by native bush (all of Pinehaven is like this), so we get all sorts of beautiful bird-life in our garden (a lot of Tui and Kereru!). We have unlimited wifi and a TV, with a heatpump, fireplace and gas heater, plus all the basics (washer/dryer, dishwasher etc).
Our cat Whiskers is pretty low maintenance, She is 12 years old and is very independent. We have a cat door which she uses regularly and she goes to the toilet outside so there is no litter to clean up! She spends most of her time sleeping, but she does like company and pats
