Double Trouble
About
We’re a quiet married couple in our 50’s we are part time motorhomers and part time house sitters.
Anthony, is a cabinetmaker by trade who dabbles in small craft projects. Eurika, a former veterinary surgery assistant and rest home cook and care giver, she likes hanging out with pets and accomodating animals, crafting, cooking and just generally pottering around.
We are currently working towards the end of a 5.5 month house sit in Waihi Beach. We have extensive experience with house and pet sitting, including farm and small holding animal care and stock rotation. We both grew up rural and on farms in South Africa and Zimbabwe, we’re laid back, homebodies. We don’t have loud parties or heaps of visitors. We’re practical and hands on. We love animals and their quirky individual personalities.
We have our own pet, Freckle the cat, who travels on board with us. So far we haven’t had a problem integrating her to dogs and farm animals including fish, rats, hamsters, chickens etc. Homes with cats however are an issue, a cat’s home is their territory and that’s fair enough.
We prefer longer sits of a month or more, but will consider shorter sits if they are in the same region as a current or future sit.
