Hello. We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy house and pet sitter for 4 weeks – either a person or couple. We have a very friendly jack russell/fox terrier cross called Arthur. He is 4 years old and will be needing care while we are away. We have a small veggie garden, polytunnel and greenhouse that will need some watering, and if you love gardening, you are very welcome to garden but that is up to you! We also have some houseplants that will need some watering. Arthur loves people, loves throwing a stick to himself, he loves swimming in our local river and going for walks. We live in the stunning Ruapehu District near Mount Ruapehu and Tongariro National Park. We have lots of beautiful local walks, trekking/tramping, fishing and mountain biking tracks nearby. The local Four Square with a mini supermarket and petrol is 4 minutes drive away in National Park where you will also find the local pub with great food. We have a pub in the village as well. The bigger supermarkets are New World in Taumarunui or Turangi, both about 25-30 minutes drive away. Our home is in a rural location surrounded by stunning bush and wonderful bird song. There is no light pollution for amazing views of the night sky! Please contact us if you’d like any more information or if you are interested in sitting for us
