Description
We’re looking for a house + dog sitter to look after our lovely 1930s bungalow and our friendly, affectionate dog, Tallulah, for three weeks in January 2025. We would prefer a mature couple who would like to be around the house, water the plants and be company for Tallulah.
Our home is a quiet, spacious, and private 4-bedroom house, fully fenced and located in the peaceful suburb of Waterloo, Lower Hutt. It’s a great area with tree-lined streets, and plenty of parking. The house has all the modern conveniences you’ll need to feel comfortable during your stay.
The house is a 10 minute walk to the local train station that takes you directly into Wellington, and close to beautiful river walks and parks. If you fancy a trip to the beach, Petone is only 10 minutes away by car, and Wellington itself is just a 15–20 minute drive. There are local shops nearby too, with everything from a dairy to a bakery, fish ‘n’ chips, and a hairdresser, all within a 10-minute walk.
While you’re staying, we’d love you to take care of our dog, Tallulah. She’s a 3-year-old Shih Tzu/Maltese mix—very friendly and affectionate, mildly active (requires a walk around the block 1 or 2 times a day), and loves licking toes! We’d also appreciate it if you could water the garden plants.
