Description
If you read the title and found yourself curiously interested, then step right up.
I won’t sugar coat it for you because I like to keep it real and manage expectations. We live in a rather fancy shed. It is a home in progress. We have a working and simple kitchen with hot and cold running water. A shower and laundry (also with hot and cold running water) We use a composting toilet bucket system which isn’t complicated, but you need to understand how to use it which you will be shown about when you arrive. Our home is warm enough and has a wood burner to keep warm if it gets cool. The walls are all insulated but the roof is yet to be lined. Yes, we have power running from a couple of points in the house. And if all that feels a bit much, we have a rather lovely caravan with everything you should need to keep you cosy in a small and tidy place.
We are currently in need of a house sitter for two weeks to look after our two cats and to keep some seedlings alive by watering them.
Now for the good bits, we live in a beautiful spot in Maraetotora Hawkes Bay. If you enjoy spending time outdoors and appreciate nature, then this is a wonderful place to be. The popular Maraetotora Falls are just 6 mins away and we are within 20 mins of two of Hawkes Bays most popular Beach spots of Waimarama and Oceans Beaches. The land we live on is also not too shabby either. Its why we are building a life here. And just up the road is a nice wee block of Native bush to take walks in.
Our property is a 20 minute drive from Havelock North.
We also have a vege garden which has plenty of veges to share right now and you’d be doing us a Favour to eat them while we are away!
