Hi there
we are looking for a reliable person to care for our large and small pets as well as some life stock while we are travelling the South Island for the whole of April.
We run a professional equestrian business on our property. While we won’t have any client horses over that time, there will be 4 of our own horses to feed and check once or twice daily and maybe move paddocks a couple of times during this time. Therefore you should be comfortable with handling horses and confident with spotting any lameness or other issues. We also have a small flock of sheep and a mob of calves, which will need checking and moving to new paddocks from time to time. Our house is seperate from the stables, modern and warm with a large garden. Our two medium sized dogs have the whole garden to roam and live at the house. Both are very friendly and should be easy care with daily feeding and some cuddles. The garden might require mowing a few times, which takes about an hour. Some small parts of the garden might need watering from time to time.
The house is private, has good wifi, a lovely kitchen with nice living space and space to park a caravan or camper. We are very central, 20min from Hamilton, 15 from Cambridge and a good 10min from Waikato Uni.
We have family that live about 30min away, who might be able to help with any issues and we also have a very friendly neighbour, who has offered to lend a hand.
Ideally we are after a mature couple, who have experience in caring for life stock and can commit fully to the dates agreed on.
Exact dates are yet to be locked in but it will be at least the whole of April.
