Description
We need responsible, reliable, person/s to house-sit and care for our Shihtzu-poodle Buddy, and rural property, from 24 May until 2 October.
We have a very comfortable home on a 4 acre lifestyle block, with fabulous views of the Tararua and Ruahine Ranges. We are 45 minutes from Palmerston North, 12 minutes from Woodville and 5 minutes from Pahiatua. It is very quiet and peaceful.
We are clean and tidy living non-smokers, and require sitter/s who will maintain our home and grounds in this condition.
We are on tank water, and have a wood fire for home heating, and a heat pump if needed. Plenty of dry wood in the shed. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas, 2 toilets, conservatory.
There is ample room and easy access for anyone with a camper, bus, or caravan to safely park.
Our main requirement is someone to provide care for Buddy and our home; with lawn mowing (max 1 hour) when required and watering pot plants. Buddy loves to go on walks and trips, but he does get plenty of exercise around home especially if someone will play fetch with him. Daily walks are not essential, just enjoyed. He gets on well with other animals, but does patrol the lawns ensuring no birds land on his lawn! We have the neighbours sheep and young cattle through the fence which he is quite used to. We are open to having sitters with their own pets, on negotiation.
We are close to many tramping tracks/walks, various rivers with good fishing, 40 minutes to Mt Bruce/Pukaha and 1 hour to east coast beaches. Your own vehicle would be required.
We can provide references from previous house sitters; also from owners of homes we have house sat for.
