Seeking a couple or person to live in and care for our pets and property!
Are you an experienced house sitter/house keeper?
Do you love interacting with animals and caring for them?
We are heading away on holiday to Perth, Western Australia on Christmas Day 2024 and returning on 20 January 2025 and need a reliable, trustworthy and capable (but laid back!) person or couple to come and look after our household and menagerie!
In return, we offer our four bedroom, two bathroom house and living areas to enjoy. We have a full kitchen with modern appliances, a newly renovated main bathroom and a large deck outside for outdoor living.
Our house is located on a hill in the beautiful Kauaeranga Valley, located behind Thames in the Thames-Coromandel region. We are only a short scenic drive away from the stunning Coromandel Forest Park which offers multiple walking, mountain biking and running tracks for you to enjoy. There is even an amazing swimming area at Hoffman’s Pool nature walk.
We live on 5 acres of land and share our land with six miniature horses, two free range roaming chickens, one lonely Ilama. These animals are easy to look after and will not require significant work.
Sharing our house are two poodles (Meisie & Polly) who are two years old, and two cats; one Ragdoll (Locky) and a black cat (Ness).
We have several fish… they are very easy to feed.
Because it is summer, we have lots of things growing in our gardens. These will need watering and you will need to be able to do some general weeding each day or so just to not let it get too wild.
We are able to pay you $100 per week while we are away and can provide freezer meat from our local butcher.
This is an opportunity for the rights person(s) or couple to undertake a solid house sitting assignment and get some great experience looking after animals, gardens and a lifestyle property.
We are actively searching now and looking to appoint an enthusiastic couple onto our property over the period we are away on holiday.
