Description
We have large, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom modern house with all mod cons near the botanical gardens in Taupo. We are going away for 3 weeks and need someone who is experienced with staffies to look after our 2 girls. Dogs will need a short walk every day. Even separate walks on the lead is ok. Like any staffies they can be high energy and need a bit of a strong hand, but they’re good when they calm down and get to know you. We also have a cat who is pretty self sufficient.
Minnie: is 8, a good runner. Likes sleeping at my feet, but reluctantly sleeps in her crate. More reserved but way better behaved than no. 2 (see below). Secretly thinks she’s the boss.
Dot: will be with you 24/7. Likes snuggles. Be prepared to get ‘dottified’ – a smooch in the neck with her arms around you. Likes chasing the cat, getting into the rubbish and generally wants to go with you wherever you go, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. A big character. Protects the property from dangerous Jack Russell Terriers who dare to walk on the road. Takes every opportunity to chase no. 3 (see below). Overly thinks she’s the boss.
Tiny: self sufficient cat who winds Dot up constantly. Purrs loudly. Protects property from Ginger the neighbours cat. Is the boss.
Ideally we’d want the dogs to meet you before the sit if you can make it to Taupo at any stage.
