About
Hi, we’re Jess and Lou – new to this website but not new to house sitting! we’re both animal lovers, and unfortunately are not able to have a pet of our own. So we’ve decided to house/pet sit which gives us the chance to hang out with furry pals and look after them while you’re away as well as explore new places that we haven’t been to yet in our own backyard.
A little about us – we’re a professional couple who mostly work from home. Lou grew up on the Tutukaka Coast in Whangarei, and I grew up in sunny Hawke’s Bay. We’re easygoing, and some of our favorite activities include exploring new beaches, and going on nature walks (preferably with a dog!). Lou is also an avid fisherman, and I’m a big fan of indoor plants. At one point, I was caring for 32 plants and loved every single one! So, if you need someone to look after your plants or water your garden, we’ve got it covered.
We’d love the opportunity to look after your pets and take care of your home. We have experience with dogs, cats, chickens, and fish. We’ll treat your home as if it were our own, ensuring everything is just as you left it.
We understand it’s a big decision to invite someone you don’t know into your space and entrust them with your beloved pets, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We’re more than happy to meet in person before the sit or set up a video call – whatever works best for you.

Jessica’s partner Louis did our house sit. Louis was great. It was really nice to meet them both beforehand and show them the guinea pigs we needed them to look after. It’s quite a big job looking after the guinea pigs, we are very grateful. He did a good job. The weather wasn’t great, it was windy and showery but Louis did what we asked and kept an eye on them during the day as well! I just hope he was able to relax while he was here. He also looked after our cat. Thank you Louis!
