About
Hello , my name is John McKenna, I am a Kiwi, however I have lived all over the world and are currently living in China. My wife and i live between NZ and China returning to NZ, to visit my father ( at least twice a year). House sitting was recommended to me as a wonderful way to see and appreciate other parts of NZ whilst also giving back some of our time and love to pets that maybe missing their family.
I am very active, I am an early riser, run / swim , train most days , I run ultra marathons, so a good long walk / run, is on the cards for most days.
Our family dog (Duke) he was a corgi cross, loved cuddles and waking us up in the morning, I owned a small block many years ago in the back hills of Napier and had some sheep and 2 cats, I used to love helping the neighbors when they needed it on the big sheep and dairy farms. i lived in north England for a while and had a Collie (Sam) a wonderful companion, I still miss him.
I have lived and moved round the world all my life and appreciate that home is where you are happy, despite the location, our beloved pets are everything to us and when we are away from them there is a sense of loss, knowing your loved ones are being cared for and appreciated only makes for a more pleasant and enjoyable holiday without worry. Respect for ones environment, home, pets and of course our fellow man are important values that were taught to me, so please be assured I will respect your home and pets as if they were my own.
