Kia ora,
My name is Yanbu, I’m 36 years old and I have worked as a Petroleum Geological Engineer in the UAE after obtaining Master of Engineering, I have been living in NZ since 2016, Studied with Vic Uni of Wellington, started and operated a restaurant and worked for the Ministry for Children teaching Table Tennis and Clarinet in a YJ. Now my parents have both retired as an intermediate school teacher and a public sector executive, we are planning to relocate my business to Christchurch and they are keen to get invloved.
My reasons for housesitting are
1. Having a change of scene in daily life in order to stay refreshed, interested and humbled;
2. To possibly encounter likeminded people and make friends;
3. Likely high quality and free accommodation when needed;
4. Opportunities to explore our relations with animals and the nature and even learn from them considering the proximity and time spent together.
I did housesitting for 4 times for 2 families and I have had several landlords ( homestay hosts and student hall managers) in Auckland, Wellington, Rolleston and Rotorua, I am still in contact with them and they are happy and willing to provide references. I have experience caring for a variety of animals, they all happened to trust me.
If I was to be chosen as your sitter, you can expect your pets to be happy and healthy, properties looked after and neighbours comfortable and safe, a ride to and from your airport should it be helpful.
