Description
We are seeking a house/pet sitter. Single or Couple. We are semi rural Whangarei, Maungatapere. 12 Mins to Whangarei township
We have an elderly cat, 6 chickens and a blue tongue lizard.
Our big ginger cat George recently had a fall and injured his back which has left him weak on his right side front and back leg. He is gradually coming right but struggles getting off furniture at times and going down steps. At present he is being kept indoors and using a Cat litter tray, we do try and let him out often in a sectioned off back yard area when we can so he can get some fresh air and sun. He also needs medication morning and night. This involves opening a capsule and emptying it in to his food and mixing it in. He is a relaxed cat. Mostly sleeps if not disturbed. We would usually have our neighbour feeding our animals while we are away but we feel we need someone around to make sure George is okay.
Most of our chickens are laying so you would be able to make use of the daily eggs. Feed pallets morning and night and top water up. also food scraps you may have left over.
Crunchie our Blue Tongue Lizard is also easy care. He sleeps and lot and may only have to feed once which would involve thawing a ball or meat and popping into his enclosure for him to eat when he is ready and top up water bowl.
