Good morning. We have our own home in Palmerston North and have 3 adorable golden retrievers, who vary in age from 3 yrs to nearly 14 years (their ages by this time next year). We are looking to travel to Australia August/September 2025 to visit our family (2 sons) and grandchildren. We like to plan ahead, as to work in with our sons and their families, plus to ensure we have someone to look after the dogs.
Our goldies walk every day together (the old girl struggles a bit but still likes her walks) so we need two people to be able to do this, as if one left at home while the others walk, no doubt she will be heard way down the road!!! We are close to walking tracks and a supermarket is just down the road.
The old girl (Donna) is on meds, but this is a simple task administering this. Chase is the middle one and only male, and Keli the young lady. They are all spayed/neutered. While the dogs are inside dogs, they have their own sleeping spaces at night and when we are out.
What else can I say – our property is pretty easy care with gardens, but the only thing that will be needed to be done is perhaps mow the lawns – which are not very big. If there are any questions, I am happy to answer these.
