Description
We are looking for experienced house and dog sitters while we visit family abroad.
We have 2 rescue dogs, Maverick (8) and Mollie (3).
Our home is in suburban Porirua, with easy CBD access. All expected amenities can be found there. There are beaches and bushwalks within easy reach, as well as mountain biking and a wildlife reserve with walks and hides.
Public transport passes the house and will take you to the train heading north to the Kapiti coast and south to Wellington.
There are dairies, a laundromat and takeaway within an easy walk.
Harbour views, treescapes and undulating hills make up the scenery other than the city.
Our home is a 3 bedroom single level, with wood burner, heatpump and double glazing. We have a small cabin at the back with an outdoor bath. We have a solar power system, but still have grid energy. The house is also fibre connected.
We’ve lived here for 9 years, the neighbours are friends, and the neighbourhood is busy with school and kindergarten traffic.
This is an important consideration.
Our Son will not be coming with us, he works shifts and has no leave.
