Kia ora! My name is Sam, im a mature, pet friendly 32y/o wahine. I’ve been house sitting full-time for the last couple of years.
I run my own freelance business offering design and strategy services, mostly in the public sector, health and education space—I also do a bit of cultural consulting in the maori space, volunteering, mentoring babysitting and teaching when I can.
I consider myself lucky enough that I don’t have to live anywhere particular, I can dictate my hours and I have full freedom over where I reside, as long as I have internet and my laptop I can work anywhere.
I am a considerate respectful house guest, i’m somewhat introverted and happy in my own company. I like to go out for coffee and walks but am somewhat a home body so your pets will get a lot of attention and aroha from me. I also try to do atleast 20km a day of walking so if your pet loves walking too then ill very happily take them along with me.
Its likely you’ll come home to the house being cleaner then you left it. (I like to clean and have been trained professionally) I tend to photograph the pets i look after and will send heaps of photos and videos for those clients who want regular updates and occasionally the pets miss me when i’m gone. I am happy to de-weed gardens, water plants, and do general house work. Can also give meds, I have experience with older pets and rescues who need more attention and can deal with any kind of pet no matter the size, shape or age.
