Hi! I’m Mel (33). I’ve recently relocated to Rotorua for a new job following the completion of my Masters in Christchurch.
I’ve been a casual house sitter in Christchurch over the last 5 years mainly looking after dogs, plus cats and chickens. As I am looking to house sit more regularly now, I have joined NZ House Sitters.
I grew up always having with multiple dogs at home with several being trained for agility:
Ben – Greyhound labrador X
Nesha – Border collie boxer X
Millie – Border collie blue healer X
Mo – Red border collie
Stevie – Red border collie
And have dog sat for a variety of breeds:
German shepherd, Weimaraner, Springer spaniel, Golden retrievers, Fox terrier X.
Outside of housesitting I enjoy running, volunteering with DOC and tramping.

Mel was an excellent house sitter. She left our house very tidy and our cats and dog seemed to enjoy having her look after them.
