Bernadette housesat over a period of two weeks whilst we were overseas. This was Bernadette's first housesit so always a bit daunting when you housesit for the first time, but handover notes helped and relieved the pressure of having to remember everything!! As so often happens, just as we were leaving our dog needed a trip to the vet which resulted in medication and a bandaged foot. Bernadette took this in her stride and administered the medication daily and removed the bandage from our dog's foot at the required time without any problems. We arrived home to a beautifully clean, tidy home. Our three cats and dog were relaxed, very chilled out and had clearly been very well loved and cared for. Bernadette communicated well with us throughout including sending a photo of our pets. We highly recommend Bernadette to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, clean and tidy person who has a calm and gentle manner around animals. We would certainly book Bernadette again.

Megan and Mick were the absolute best house/dogsitters. We could not have wished for a better experience. Our mini schnauzer absolutely loved them. Since our return from holiday local people have also provided such positive feedback about how wonderful they were walking Marley twice a day and it was obvious he loved them. Plus importantly they had cared for our home and a lovely dinner waiting for us on return home. Highly recommend Meg and Mick.

Mel was an excellent house sitter. She left our house very tidy and our cats and dog seemed to enjoy having her look after them. Would definitely recommend and will try to use her again

Megs and Mick are the BEST! Seriously couldn't have done a more amazing job. Megs kept us updated while we were away via messenger . Arrived home to an immaculate and spotless house, happy pets, gardens tidied and tended, plants I'd bought but not had time to plant, all dug in, others ready for removal, dug out, hedges trimmed, lawns mowed, concrete and retaining wall water blasted and the list goes on. They did jobs they noticed needed doing using their own initiative and our home and gardens were left in a better state than when they arrived. We would not hesitate to have them back and would recommend them to anyone looking for awesome people to look after their home and pets while on holiday. Thanks so much Megs and Mick!

Derek house sat for us for over a month in winter of 2024. Our home is a rural lifestyle property, with wood fire, tank water, and included the care of hens and our Shih Tzu-poodle dog. Derek cared for our little Buddy very well, taking him on excursions and walks, bathing him after muddy excursions, and to the dog groomer as pre arranged. We received updates and photos of Buddy which were much appreciated. Derek had his lovely dog Lilo with him. Lilo is a beautiful natured, very well behaved Labrador. She and our Buddy appeared to have become great mates. Derek, kindly, competently handed over the house sit to other sitters, as we had arranged, giving them a full handover in our absence. They reported that Derek left the house "very clean, tidy and well cared for." We would be very happy to have Derek house and dog sit for us again and have no reservations in recommending him for other house sit positions.

This was a great house sit. I returned home to my very happy cats ,well fed and looking as lovely as ever. The house was very clean and tidy. Maree, I thank you for informing me of the small accident that occurred while I was away, I appreciate your honestly, and there is nothing to reinverse me for. I would engage Maree again anytime. Bev

Maree was our first house sitter using this platform and I was a little nervous about the whole thing, but we couldn't have found a more genuine or caring person to take care of our elderly cat, our chickens and our home. Maree was proactive and communicative, and made the effort to arrive in town ahead of our departure so that we could meet in person. She sent regular updates and it was clear that she was genuinely enjoying her time with the pets - she obviously won over the cat because he wasn't even that interested in us when we got home! Our house was left spotless too. We will definitely invite Maree down again when we're next in need of a house sitter and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone else

Fabulous couple to Housesit. I came home to happy pets, clean house and keep finding jobs they had done, like fixing my irrigation system. Really nice people.

Alison and Jerry have been the most amazing house sitters, i think one of my cats was very disappointed we were home haha. The fur babies were so well looked after and the house and garden were kept immaculate upon our return. I defiantly recommend them and will be using them again.

It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know Lou and Hugo. Prior to the sit communication was top notch and they made the effort to spend some time with us and Max and Louie prior to us going away. While away, we received regular photos and updates of our fur babies. Lou and Hugo both went the extra mile to ensure Max and Louie's needs were met and they were extremely well cared for. We appreciated Hugo's willingness to undertake some small DIY tasks for us. We arrived back to a clean and tidy home and happy boys, together with a beautiful vase of flowers. We look forward to having Lou and Hugo return for their next sit with us, and highly recommend them.

Hugo and Lou were absolutely brilliant house sitters. Excellent communication and with the photos we could see that Izzy and Ella were very happy and having a great time. Hugo even surprised us with a bit handy work and now our bifold doors open with more ease. Izzy and Ella enjoyed daily walks, treats and were looked after in every aspect. Jenni and when we came home to a perfectly cleaned home which meant all we had to do was unpack and get back in to our daily routine. Jenni and I are a looking forward to having Hugo and Lou here in March as they have confirmed another sit for us and we know that Izzy and Ella will love to see them when they arrive here,😎 It is great knowing that we can go away with piece of mind, feeling relaxed knowing that our dogs and home are in great hands. We were so lucky to have Desmond's services to look after our house, garden and cat while we were away for 5 weeks. From our first communication, Des was very polite, friendly, thorough and easy to deal with. He made the effort to come and see the house and cat, then came again to meet our neighbours. He paid attention to all the little details. He very quickly built a great rapport with our cat who doesn't get on with everyone! While we were away Des noticed a leak outside our house and organised our plumber to come and rectify the issue and notified our contact person. Des also followed my instructions for Garden and House Plant care and everything looked really good. When we arrived home the house was absolutely spotless. We would be more than happy to have Des housesit for us again!

Tony was an amazing house sitter, the cats and house were well looked after. He cleaned the windows, mowed the lawns and kept us up dated on how things were going. He took our eldery neighbour's wheelie bins in for her ( she was rapt) I would definitely use Tony again and do highly recommend him as a house sitter.

We chose Val to house sit for us whilst we were away on a six week holiday overseas. Ours is a lifestyle property, that requires caring for our livestock (sheep and deer); and the ability to problem solve when things go wrong (e.g. failing water pumps). Val was not phased by these challenges. She was proactive in learning how things operated, and took the initiative in managing the wellbeing of our animals, She communicated very well, and went out of her way to meet us and familiarise herself with our home well in advance of our departure. At no time did we have any concerns about her ability to cope and care for our property. I would not hesitate to recommend Val as a house sitter, and hope to be able to engage her help again in the future. Ken Ross Upper Moutere Nelson.

A beautiful and comfortable home surrounded by gorgeous scenery with well trained pets and very clear instructions - I was very happy in this setting. On top of all this, I was warmly welcomed and made to feel like an honoured guest. My first housesit - it can't get any better than this!

It was a pleasure house sitting for Sarah and her family. The two cats and young puppy were very affectionate and keen for cuddles. Clear information was given in advance which was much appreciated. I am looking forward to house sitting for them again in a few months time.

MY house and pet sitting experience has been wonderful. Chanelle and Dave made me feel very welcome into their home from the first day we videoed chatted to the day I met them and they showed me around.Chanelle was very quick to respond to with me from start to finish with our arrangements. I enjoyed spending time with Zee their laid back friendly cat who enjoyed having my company as much as I enjoyed his and two red hens who liked to leave me fresh eggs each day.Their property is very tranquil its a hidden urban paradise. I would love to pet and house sit for them again without a doubt. a joyful experience for both parties.

We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Max and Louie, they are the most gorgeous animals with lovely personalities and are very easy to care for.. Donna and Rob were wonderful hosts, very easy to talk to and quick to respond to any texts/communication while they were away. Their house is a luxurious home away from home. It's modern, clean and tidy and they have fresh vegetables growing for you in the garden. Waikanae beach is a beautiful area of new Zealand. Everyone is very friendly and you find yourself chatting to the locals while you walk Max along the beach. If you get the chance to house sit for Max and Louie I'd highly recommend you snap it up We miss them already and are looking forward to our next house sit with them.

We really enjoyed our housesit of ten days for Charmaine. Her little dog Snow was a joy to look after, the three hens kept laying an egg a day & the four sheep enjoyed a rub on their noses when we were in their paddock. Beautiful views of the coast & mountains. Highly recommend Charmaine & her property to housesit.

We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Izzy and Ella and the fish at Jim and Jenni's place. The dogs have truly wonderful personalities and become your best friends within minutes! They are such happy dogs and are both really well behaved which make them a pleasure to look after. Jim and Jenni are incredibly generous hosts that make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The house is beautiful, clean, tidy and with every comfort you could ask for. We didn't hesitate to accept a second house sit and hope to return again in the future. You won't be disappointed if you accept a house/pet sitting position here. Hugo and Lou

Celia and James are a friendly couple. Their house was clean and tidy and it was a pleasure to have been able house sit for them. The garden was easy care and provided a bounty of veggies, to the extent that on Celia's request excess produce was to be taken to the local food bank. Detailed instructions covering most eventualities were left for me along with a list of local attractions and directions to bus stops and train stations. The Hutt River walk path couldn't be any closer and provided a number of different walking options. Their cat, KP, was a delight to care for, and I was sad to be leaving her behind. I would house sit for Celia and James again without having to think twice.

The Trevarthen's excellent communication coupled with a comprehensive house and pet sitting guide made it possible for us to feel confident from the first day. A video call a while before we arrived helped build trust between us and made us feel at ease. The house and garden was clean, well organized and easy to maintain and all the pets were well mannered and easy to take care of. The Trevarthen family was a pleasure to work with and we definitely recommend them to any future house-sitters.

If you’re reading this and choosing whether or not to accept this housesit then think no further. Robyne and Gavin are friendly and welcoming, with excellent communication and a good dose of humour in the mix. Down to earth with clear expectations and communication. It’s a beautiful location, easy care section, all just a few minutes to Whakatane beach. They also very generously let me use their quadbike and fishing gear 🙂 Two semi-invisible cats, and a tray of young chillies to water. Would happily housesit again. Either way I wish them all the very best in their future adventures 🙂

We had a wonderful time looking after Donner and Lucky during our house sit for Catherine! They were so well behaved and loving, we will miss them a lot. The location was amazing, just off the beach, and the flat had everything we needed. Great communication also, even though they were half way across the world. Would definitely recommend Catherine and the pets 🙂

House sitting for Bernd and Hanna was amazing. They are excellent hosts and provided a very comfortable place to stay. The self contained studio was warm, homely and comfortable. Ronja ( the cat ) was the best company, super cuddly but also very independent. Taking care of the sheep was a breeze. Bernd was very thorough in taking me through how to do the pool maintenance and it was not too difficult and a rather enjoyable task. I highly recommend this as a house/pet sit.
